An Introduction to the OSSpal Project

Tony Wasserman - @twasserman

The Business Readiness Rating (BRR) was introduced in 2005 as a technique that used quantitative data from project forges to evaluate the quality of open source projects. That project lost momentum, and has since been replaced by the OSSpal project, which uses pre-selection of suitable projects in various software categories and individual reviews to help people find high quality free and open source projects. There's now an initial implementation of OSSpal, and the talk includes a discussion of the project background and a demonstration of the project.
